The bizarre thrill of watching old jalopies and their drivers intentionally crash into one another is wildly popular in Tooele County, filling the stands to capacity with screaming fans at Deseret Peak Complex’s outdoor arena. This year’s derby is scheduled for August 4 at Deseret Peak Complex. Gates open at 4 p.m. and start time is 6 p.m.
