The annual Tooele County Junior Livestock Show gives local youth an opportunity to display and sell their hard work in raising cattle, sheep and other ranch animals. The show has existed for more than 60 years, and will once again be held in conjunction with the Tooele County Fair at
Deseret Peak Complex which is from July 28-August 4, 2012. Anyone is welcome to bid on the livestock. Some of the young ranchers take their earnings and invest it in more animals and start the cycle over again. Others save the money for college.
The Deseret Peak Complex is located east of Sheep Lane between Tooele and Grantsville on Highway 112. For more information, see tooelefair.com.
